Interesting post.. Could you message the seller and ask where and when he obtained them ? Checking his other items he do have quite a few high price rare Amiga games, sealed.. As well as Atari ST copies .. But no auction mentions if they come from a private collection or from a shop or any info about their origins ..

You can't possibly know that.

I don't believe for a second you can tell whether the shrink wrap is new or old, either.

It's not difficult to get a box and some paperwork duplicated. It wouldn't surprise me if this is exactly what has happened, people are stupid.

I doubt any shop converted a batch of ST Renegade's to Amiga versions. It was a crappy, poor selling game. If we were talking about Lemmings or something, this theory would be far more believable.

Well, believe what you want then. I don't care. In the words of the wise DamienD: "Let's move on now people."

Oh by the way, the manual also has "Atari ST" printed at the bottom of every page and doesn't contain Amiga loading instructions but only ST. I should have looked at that earlier So I guess it's really the Atari ST version.

Btw, on the Atari ST the game came on two disks. The label on my disk says "Renegade Atari ST 520/1040 - Disk A" so maybe the label on that other Quartex-Taito-Renegade copy still on ebay has "Disk B" on it
