Possibly my favourite all time Amiga game:
B17 Flying Fortress New version released on PC a few years ago: B17 2: The Mighty 8th [ Show youtube player ] It's a really boring game at times if you do it properly and don't go autopilot/accelerate time, on the other hand that may have been because I never quite mastered formation flying if you don't count terrorising the other planes. I have some rather epic Amiga memories of limping all the way back home from Germany on 2 engines and then crashing into the runway. Last edited by Mick; 27 January 2011 at 16:06. |

Didn't Defender of the Crown (my favorite) get a remake too? I remember playing an emulated version which had "upgraded" graphics compared to the original. Also I've seen cover art on the net for a "Robin Hood: Defender Of The Crown". Is that some sort of sequel or alternative version? I would be mostly interested in that...

Well, first there is DOTC II on CD32:
http://hol.abime.net/306/screenshot Then there is the Digitally Remastered DOTC: http://www.cinemaware.com/dotcremast...asp?sel=screen Robin Hood is a bit different, as you play as Robin Hood. You basically have the same game as DOTC but with some added "mini-games" (shooting a stagecoach and its escort to get some money for instance): http://www.cinemaware.com/robinhood_main.asp And more recently, there was Heroes Live Forever, which apparently focuses on mini-games (never tried IIRC so I cannot comment): http://www.wildtangent.com/Games/def...s-live-forever |

...and just today, the (in?)famous Telltale Games have announced a King's Quest reboot, which I would certainly consider a classic Amiga game (despite being PC ports, but that can be said about a lot of Amiga games).

Why infamous? I thought Telltale Games had a good reputation, aren't they former LucasArts guys?

Well, they seem to be forgetting their roots and their games are starting to become more about presentation and camera-angles than puzzles, imo. Style over substance and all that. They even say so themselves, when confronted why they wouldn't keep their games as pure point'n'clicks. They said because by using the keyboard and mouse combo, they can make a more cinematic experience. Personally, I'd rather have games that wasn't annoying to control over crazy camera angles.
That and there really is no challenge left in their games, plus big hint buttons in plain sight and all that. There's a lot more I can say about the direction they seem to be heading, but it doesn't belong in this thread, so I'll stop here. |

Do you have plans to convert it to the Mac and make it available in the Mac App Store once the iPad version is complete? |
