how to use Amiga Forever with my zip folder

Guys,

Ive tried to understand several sites to be able to let AF run my zip folder of choice (protracker). Ive experimented with ''mounting'' and what not but I cannot get this one to run. Can anyone guide me? And remember, I am a newbie so please no shortcuts.

I appreciate this very much!

Thanks.

Hi moriez,

welcome to EAB
I've made a disk that loads ProTracker 2.3 automatically. You find it in the zone. Have a look here how to access it : http://eab.abime.net/faq.php?faq=vb_...ezone_faq_item
Hope this helps!

Edit : Use a A1200 quickstart to use it

My friend

Can I hug you?

Thanks so much! This is nothing short of perfect! If I may be so rude and ask you another thing. Two things actually.

1> Now how do I access the modules on my pc harddrive?
2> I forgot what kind of samples protracker handles. What kind of files are they?

You're welcome, no need for hugs

When you want to use modules from your Windows partition goto the 'Hard drives' window and click on the 'Add Directory or Archive...' button. Enter the values as shown on the following picture and select the folder with your modules (there shouldn't be too much mods inside the folder).

In ProTracker click on 'Disk Op.', click on the dot on the left side of 'Path' and after it shows 'Modules' on the small '2' on the right side. Now you should see your mods

Can't exactly remember which format the samples should have (it's been a long time ). I hope someone else can shed some light on this one

My questions will get Protracker specific now so I wont ask them here anymore.

You made my day mate. Keep it up

Cool You can ask your Protracker here (maybe in a new thread) and I'm sure some other guys here can help you as I did with the WinUAE stuff

Yes IFF was one format, but do you remember which sample- and bitrate was used? I think the samples had to be without header (i.e. 'raw' format).
