Background IFF is messy colors

Hi.

How do I define the colors for my IFF background image?
All the colors look wierd...

It's an 8 color picture.

Thanks!

Did you try?

GET PALETTE x

x = number of screen you open your IFF picture.

My source look like this:

screen open 0,640,256,16,hires
curs off : flash off
Cls 0
Load iff "my8colorimage.iff",0
get palette 0

Any other suggetions?

Thanks!

Volt

I will try AMOS Pro tomorrow. Maybe easy amos is buggy on my A1200. I'm running without setpatch.

I solved the problem by installing AMOS Professional.

Easy AMOS is not "EASY" with A1200 I guess

Easy AMOS? Come on, that one doesn't have even AMAL. Stick with AMOS Pro 2.0. It runs perfect on A1200.

Pro is much better - it has many more commands and is less buggy

I was going to say I have never had problems with IFF imgaes in AMOS. You can also load IFF images directly into the screen when in direct mode, or in the program, simply by typing:

Code:
Load IFF "RAM:My_image.IFF",SCREEN_NUMBER
As long as the screen isn't already open, AMOS will load in the file and automatically use the correct colours from the image
(If the screen is already open and it isn't the same height as the image, AMOS Pro will report an error!)
