There are no trouble if compatible enough configuration is used. (these kind of timing loops have "good enough" timing even in non-ce mode)

I'm using the most compatible settings there are and it won't touch disks.

You do know its configured to read ST format disks and not Amiga don't you?

There hasnt been any problems reading 720,800 and now Toni has adding support for 360kb disks -file extension .ST - This might only be at basic level but you can access the files of the disk and try and execute them.

It doesn't want to know at my end at all.

EDIT: Would help if I wasn't trying to load .stx files! doh!

Doesn't recognise disk changes very well

It actually tried to load my 1 disk crack of Sky Blaster, displayed my text intro but then bombed out afterward.

Medusa emulator code really needs to be relocated as part of the system code loads at address $70000-$80000, and even the smallest of ST games will overwrite that.

I'll take a look at Trantor and see if its a hardware banging game, because i've definately seen it running on a real Amiga.

If it gets stuck on a titlescreen, remember on ST, most games used a keyboard key to continue (mostly space bar).

Hmm.. There are few problems that makes this "not worth the trouble"-feature:

- apparently does not store raw on disk data but data that comes from Atari disk controller (standard WD-something) -> data coming from pasti.dll would need yet another pointless conversion.
- no API documentation

I can get you documentation if you want it, but obviously if you are not interested in supporting it, theres little point

I am only interested if you can get raw data out of it, not some cooked wd disk controller data.

Are there newer versions (> 1.2a) of Medusa somewhere?

EDIT: I know there are other (much better) ST emulators, but... do they run on A500?

Hi,

I uploaded to the Zone the .adf image of an interesting floppy of mine:
TOS disk (with accessories etc.) for Medusa, by QUARTEX.
It contains TOS 1.0, 1.2, 1.4 and some useful utilities/components.

I would say it's incredibly NON-compatible...!

Unless... it has many problems on WinUAE but not on a real A500. But I don't think so.

I don't think that's a fair judgement. That feature list refers to the software/hardware version of the emulator, but all we have tested so far is the software only (i.e. hacked) version.
