i am dowloaded KG version, it works fine too...

have somebody black screen starting game too?

Altered Beast isn't stuck with a black screen. But it needs an update anyway.

sorry but i don't have understand what exe i do overwrite...i find it in:

WINUAELOADER > WHD > C > WHDload (no extension)

now i take a video and post it tomorrow...for understand the problem...

you must install whdload file in you workbench in C/ folder

you can found it so:
SYS:C/

or use assign
C:

normally a black screen just after the 'nag' means a pirated key.....

I have altered beast installed on my 1200, and i don't have any BS.

Even then it doesn't aged well. Pretty boring Sega stuff from that time.

Sounds great I must admit ive not played the Amiga version for a long time - The controls might need remapping different for when your flying to walking anyone have a suggestion?

i had often play with Altered Beast on arcade cabinet with a friend and i liked it!!

Avoid the PC-Engine version (HuCard and CD). Redrawn graphics and really bad controls. The Mega Drive version is the most faithfull arcade port.

I did play this version a lot on a friends Atari ST and found it to be pretty ok.

The arcade original isn't the pinnacle of arcade control so it translates better than most ports.
