My A1200 MP3 Jukebox Project

Okay, this has been my project, on and off for many years now, and every year or two I pull out the bits and do a little bit more work on it. However, it's at the stage now where I'm finally starting to assemble it all. The case is an old CD deck (very old - around 1987!!) that long since stopped working. The plastic-work could be tidier I know, but I was hacking up that case for other purposes over 10 years ago!

Anyway, here are a few photos of the work-in-progress:

Daedalus mate that is indeed some very nice work! I always love well detailed and proffesionaly looking mods!
I can't wait for more photos of connector's placements.
The Accelerator port expansion was indeed mental work (and I remembered it from Jimbo's crazy work in fiting an A1200 mobo into a n A600 case + accelerator usage).

Thanks for sharing it and keep up the nice work \o/

Thanks guys Well, I did check out the ACA1230, and it would still be a tight fit with the corner support of the case. Also, I already have a Blizzard 1230 lying around doing nothing so it was volunteered

Well, it's gonna have the Blizzard and a TCP/IP stack, so I can FTP in and transfer over some music. At the moment I'm having trouble getting the IR remote to work, so I might just implement it in a PIC chip instead. This will give the advantage of being able to actually turn it on and off by remote control, and won't require CPU time to decode the binary streams... Still have to finish the audio circuits and wire them up, and add audio CD support to the software so it can be used as a CD player via the audio out on the CD drive.

It will also have a 60GB hard drive with a nice games partition for playing SWOS, Worms, Skidmarks and what have you on the TV without having to have the A1200 in the living room Just plug in a keyboard and mouse

That's about the extent of it for now anyway, no doubt I'll get that far and end up adding extra stuff...

Another few photos added, showing the front panel work, and the Blizzard 1230 accelerator fitted. It works
