Targhan cheat

typing STB-TGH + [RETURN] at the first menu will give you infinite energy.

The cheat doesn't seem to work. As soon as you type the T in "STB-T" it starts the game, and you definitely don't have infinite energy. I'll disassemble the game a bit and have a look to see if I can find anything...

Has anyone finished the game and can verify that the solution posted on that site works?

Well it was the official site itself. It was a pain to get it back thru archives.org.
Other silmarils game have their cheat there too.

I could make the cheat work on some ST version.

I couldn't find anything in the code that activates a cheat like that at all. It's an AmigaDos game though which makes tracing it tough so there's a chance I missed it - but at this stage I'm 90% sure it doesn't work. (Unless there are multiple versions and the one I have is not the "correct" one).

In the USA 100% version, something does seem to happen when you type the complete cheat phrase. The game would load as normal, but it would guru when you leave the first screen. Typing anything else doesn't cause the game to crash.
