CpuBlit 2.0
I'm looking for CpuBlit version 2.0 by Dave Jones, from 1997. I have only found some references, that such a version exists - but I can't find it anywhere. Anyone have it?
[edit] I'm also looking for AmyWarp patch... Last edited by Romanujan; 02 March 2018 at 00:18. |

Yes, yes, didn't know that ARK is Andreas R. Kleinert, author of many datatype related tools.
But why don't you want to use FBlit? It's the standard and works pretty well with the correct configuration. |

Because it doesn't work with the Picasso96 (or I'm not aware how to configure it to work with Picasso96 correctly).

why do you need chipset blitter code replacement if you already have P96?
Your RTG card will have its own blitter and if the P96 driver is reasonably competent it will use that. |

I'm using FS-UAE. I have noticed that CpuBlit v2.1 (ftp://lan.oxfordinspire.co.uk/pub/mi...puBlit_v21.lha - I don't understand why Aminet search engine is unable to find it) significantly speeds-up text output on legacy graphic modes (run AIBB, TGTest benchmark to see how much). But the changelog for version 2.1 says: "Only for OCS/ECS/AGA, not for RTG" - seems to work fine on my P96 setup so far, but reading this I would prefer to use version 2.0...

I think this (v2.1) was not an official upload to the aminet or was deletet by "owner" Cosmos.

That's the other reason I would like to get the official 2.0. Both CpuBlit and FText give me visible speedup on UAEGFX P96 configuration (which is a bit strange, as FText was supposed to be used with FBlit). CpuBlit + FText combined gave me a HUGE AGA text output speedup.
