Ok, i have looked at the board an run it in the 1200. I cant get it to work. Its looking like the processor is dead, i see no activity from it at all on the scope. Doog, did you ever have this running after you put that processor in there ?
There has been a mod to the board that shorts across the 1260 power regulator jumpers, i can see no reason for this having been done. So i removed the mods and checked the circuit. Its fine, i don't understand why this was done. Doog, can you tell me about this mod ? I have checked the Clock circuits, they are fine, but i also changed the 74f74, there seems to be no damage under the 74f74 from the leaky battery it had. I have found a 68040 here that i removed from one of my cards, i may try that later, but will wait for more info from doog first. |

The card was originaly and 040@25, working fine...i then changed the cpu for an 040@40....again worked fine for months then just died, i too thought it was the cpu at fault so changed back to the 040@25 and still no joy...but i cannot gaurantee that the cpu i swapped back in there was still working. |
