Gotek flashing without serial adapter
Just in case anyone is too cheap to spend the €0.99 for a serial adapter to flash your Gotek, and has a USB-A to USB-A cable lying around -

Great to know. But sadly I don't think there will be made any more cortex firmwares. But this is nice to know for people buying a Gotek with PC firmware on it and who wants to flash the Cortex firmware

Very nice, just had a drive arrive to flash for a friend... got this to work on Win10 x64, previously always had to revert to an old XP machine to flash with a serial adapter.

Thanks, it was a pain in the butt to do it with my serial adapter with WinXP.
My next Gotek will be done with your method. |
