Cool Valfaris - a heavy metal infused 2D action-platformer

Set in a far corner of space, Valfaris is a heavy metal infused 2D action-platformer and the next game from the team behind Unity Awards finalist, Slain: Back From Hell. Brutal combat. Deadly enemies. Stunning pixel art. Savage soundtrack. Get ready to rip the galaxy a new wormhole.

Pretty, isn't it?

Nice. Very creative. Good to see the indie seen producing some gems compared to **

I backed slain on kickstarter. Very poor and basic game. Played like a bad c64/nes game.

Hope this is better.

I started playing the Slain remaster (whatever it's called) and got bored after about one level. I'm curious if they will make Valfaris more fun to play (for me, at least).

Looks nice but I'm going to give it a pass, games that have so much going on that the action is constantly obscured by miasmas of color start to annoy me too quickly.

Normally, I would agreed with you 100%, but I just watched trailer, and being (a little bit) hyped with that trash/death riffs, and the amount of what's happening on the screen, is absolutely AMAZING, and haven't seen that before, and that makes this game ORIGINAL (the absurd amount of details), and METAL MUSIC, who can say NO TO THAT?
WHO?!!!

I wound buying game, though.

Well, Gunlord's graphics looked a lot more appealing. I thought this odd misconception of how older games looked (or at least this art style in general) was dying out.
