Only problem in rawread was too small track buffer, this game seems to use very long tracks..

Liquid level rising with normal speed confirmed

normal Dos track = $1600 in length.
KGS tracks = $2000 in length

when the biggest tracks are $3390 long (both sides) here it is $4000.
Impossible to master this back even with cyclone copier lol

Unfortunately for the copy protection on this game, it will EASILY fit back onto two AmigaDOS disks, in fact if Psygnosis had used external ram, the intro sequence could have been 100% running with no interruptions in loading.

Intro sequence is quite small, and compresses down well.

Who cares, its easier to crack it to AmigaDOS to real files.

I had the intro disk done in about 4 minutes with all files extracted, I doubt Disk 2 would take much longer, but if musashi9 has already started, then I'm not keen to duplicate someone elses effort.

I would say only long tracks for data.

Wrong, it's still about $3390 mfm bytes long for kgs.

ok psygore, but please say how !! also, i have checked the islave source,
you use $2000 as length value, which is only for 1 side.
so 2000+2000 in hex = 4000.

$3390 = $19C8 in length per track ? am i wrong here ?
$4000 = $2000 as indicated in KGS islave

Ok. How do you do that in hardware ?

Ps : this info should be passed to IFW, it's maybe a way to follow to understand
the disk reading...

They already have enough dumps. Format support is not done yet, only 4 or so games... (and they already know how the format work anyway)

Is there a dump of the original Killing Game Show available anywhere ? I'm facing the known fast-flood problem with the cracked version.

Thx in advance.

edit.

Ooops nevermind, I just found it in the zone archive.

Now I'll have to find a trainer/cheat codes just in case because I remember that the game wasn't easy with or without flooding.

(oh yeah, think I'm gonna check HOL. That Internet is sooo woooonderful.)

Good night.
