Aye, and the other good news is that I'll not be short of bubble wrap for quite some time.

There's some depressingly fine pitch smt stuff to do on here: I feel plenty of practise is needed before I hack onto this board!

Part of the experience is to 'Glue' the parts on to the board.

There ought to be. I think everyone is still in "parts gathering" mode. Well, at least I am.

Any decent sources for 40+MHz 68030s would be most helpful!

@Chiark

I believe that Amiga-Digital might be able to help you out there

@Coze

Now that I am back at Uni, i have much access to the Programming / Electronics LAB, they can fry latent Altera FPGA's so a simple lattice shouldn't be a problem

Good to see you around Mr Z! Amiga-digital.nl lists 1 CPU, which is a 680ec20... Damn.

How many programmable chips are needed for each board? And what's the exchange rate of Spartans to lattices?

Well, I dont know if I stated this before, i thought i did but I cannot find it

I would not mind building one of these boards, but the stumbling point for me, is being in Australia, we get ripped off by our Electronics companies (like Farnell, AU).

The Ram is like around $20 PER CHIP , this prohibitively puts the board out of my reach.

Then, there is obtaining the Gal's etc and getting them programmed...

Gargantuan task for me , minimig was easy, everything came from Digikey.
