Amiga 500 Warm Reset Guru

Hi all-

I recently acquired an Amiga 500 with a Revision 6 motherboard. Everything appears to work normally, however when I do a warm reset (key combination), the power light will strobe and it will alternate between screens that are different shades of gray.

If I remove the memory in the expansion slot, this issue goes away. I started looking closer and it appears that the mod to convert from slow to chip ram was partially completed. By partially, I mean the JP2 mod was done, but nothing was done to JP7A. I went ahead and disconnected the pads on JP7A but the behavior remains the same.

If I do a cold reboot after it gets in this mode it will Guru. However, if I just perform a cold reset (without any prior warm reset) it will boot normally.

Any thoughts on where to look? Any mods to add a button to do warm reset on the case so I don't have to reach under my desk to reset it every time? :-)

Thanks,
Chris
