Vampire in a A2000 questions

hello everyone, just a few quick questions,

I have just received and installed a Vampire v2 and cpu riser card for my a2000, it seems to work fine, 68080 128mb ram, on my ECS A2k 1m Agnus, ecs Denise etc.

removed rom and cpu, installed Vampire, booted from my Cf card on a alphadata expansion systems IDE controller, works fine,

noticed when ever I install anything, from my Gotek or anywhere, sometimes on a random file, it will freak out and write this 4K file to the max size of the hard drive. then it takes like 30 mins to delete it when I boot from a disk to get back in. Ive tried 2 drives, CF using a Startech ide2cf 40/44pin adaptor, tried same adaptor and card on the Vampires IDE port too. SAME THING, tried physical hard drives on the old GVP 4008 scsi card, same thing, 44 pin hard disk, same thing, has anyone had this weirdness ? oh running the 2.11 core, arg, its a pita.

Is it possible you could remove the gotek and try and see what happens? But before you do this...can you check and see if you potentially you maybe infected with a virus? Do a virus check first.
