Thank you for going through the trouble, guys. I tried both malko's and Damien's files, same hateful 'Please insert Disk 1' message. It doesn't seem to be a question of me having the wrong files, or missing some files, as the exact same archive works on WinUAE. It's just that for some reason the Amiga does not run it.

Oh well, I started playing it on WinUAE... Does anyone know if you can play it to the end? Has anyone even done it?

Do you have the exactly same startup-sequence on both real Amiga & WinUAE ? Same screen resolution ? Same emulated config as your real A. ?

Everything the same except the resolution, Amiga 640x256 - WinUAE 640x512. Could that be a factor?

It may happen (see here for an issue due to the screen resolution) but I don't think it's the case here. Furthermore, while testing yersterday I changed the screen resolution and the game ran without issue with 640x256 & 640x512.

Think the best is to check again with snoopdos on WinUAE and on your real Amiga and compare the results to try to find the issue leading to this "insert disk 1" message.

Maybe someone with desassembling skills can check the code to see what is happening before this message is displayed. Try to give further informations (when exactly is this message displayed) as it may help.
