I know there's a limited supply but maybe if these companies would let you pay a deposit to reserve a case it might be a better approach than a pre-order "promise" page.

Pre-ordering on AOTL requires you pay in advance. I’ve paid for mine in full, so now I’m just waiting for it. Peace of mind knowing Im going to get one.

I share the frustrations with getting hold of the A1200 re-run... I'm sort of wondering if it's really a thing, or just a rumour / vapourware? Months roll by, the sites that had a restock date push it back another month etc...
Even AOTL says "3rd week of June" (though I'd rather not order from the US if possible due to massive import taxes) These are some very slow boats is all I can say |

I preordered on AOTL and haven't heard anything yet. Gave me the same time period, 3rd week in June. A little more time is all that is needed I hope.

There's no doubt that these cases are coming, but I'd rather pay in advance and wait knowing that mine is eventually going to come than take my chances on a site that is only accepting first come, first serve purchases.

Cool cool... yeah I hope enough are coming into stock to last a little bit rather than all disappearing within 15 seconds of going up. With a bit of luck they'll have say a 2 per-customer limit rather than attracting scalpers

Mine (shipped from Amiga on the Lake) was waiting for me when I got home from work. Very, very nice.

Just got mine too from Amiga on the Lake, with no prior notification.
All is good, though, she's a beauty. |

They're in stock at amigastore.eu, so dived in and bought one from there. Shipping to the UK costs a bit of course but given the vague-at-best communication from Amigakit I don't want to take my chances and find that they run out at amigastore while AK, for example, eventually reveals that they all went out to people on some VIP list.
If there'd have been some stronger reassurance or even an entry on the website somewhere (when it loads, it seems like it's hosted on dialup) I would've waited but after missing the kickstarter I didn't want to risk it. So the one that said "in stock 5th July" got my business Last edited by Cloudane; 06 July 2018 at 08:50. |

I've been wanting to BUY one of these for what feels like years. I have a sort of pre-order with Amedia France, but I'm starting to think that these in-demand items are never going to be properly available in a shop.
Perhaps I can buy one of those new A500 cases in 2030 instead....... |

I’d order there and cancel the other but that’s just me. |

Guess I wasted about £25 then... that's what I get for the lack of faith. Still, ultimately paid what I was willing to pay to guarantee not missing out.

Ordered mine from Amiga Kit UK Yesterday. Not sure why they are delaying until the 18th though?

Some kind of agreed release date? Amigastore are showing no signs of shipping yet either (but haven't published a date that I can find)
It's tempting me into asking if it's possible to cancel for the simple reason that if it's not shipping until the 18th anyway then it makes more sense to buy from AK, save 25 quid and release a stock unit to some lucky european... |
