A600 revisions and Apollo A630.
Finally i`m getting my beloved A600HD with plan to upgrade it with A630 turbo card and WHDlLoad it. As i search net on that topic, i found (http://www.amiga600.de/whatneed.htm and others) that the best motherboard revision for that card is 1.1, the worst (card doesn`t work well) is the most popular 1.3.
Getting 1.1 one is not an option for me, my choices are: rev 1.5 or rev 2D. So whitch one is better with apollo? Do you have any experince with such stuff? waiting for a quick reply guys, my seller is waiting for my decision... thnx! |

You have a source of A630?? Gold dust they are. Get the A630 first then worry about A600 motherboards.

well, my situation is like that - first a600 then a630. a630 is "secured" but i`m waiting for a sellers return from holidays. now i can buy miggy in almost mint condition - but i must make my mind right now which rev i want in it (why wanna swap it later when i can get right one now?) or it`s gone.

@prart
grab a 1.5 or 2D theres very little difference, if any to be honest. I think it was ROM based. from this I would suggest you get a 3.0 or 3.1 KS Rom in there mind if I be curious to ask how much you paid for the A630 ? |

@prart
cheers for heads up on the cost, alas these seem to be the average of late for these CPU's, alas from reports (some conflicting) Jens 030 for the A600 was put on hold, development time constraints from what i can make out of it.... |

http://www.jschoenfeld.com/news/news115_e.htm Unlike the original A630 it did not have an FPU. (But who cares!) |

He's not a stupid man. He knows that it would sell. There is a mitigating factor. Either something doesn't quite work, or he cannot source all the parts or something.
