If I run it without the slave (from inside the data drawer) I still run into the copy protection?

So I do hope someone works on a WHDLoad version that allows us to save games.

Has anyone tried with WHDLoad 18 BTW? (I haven't, I use a version that came with ClassicWB)

I assume 18.3 does not fix this either. Still hoping someone updates the slave. It's weird the WHDLoad page does state saving should work. http://www.whdload.de/games/SimCity.html

I would have to double check, but I distinctly recall going out of my way to install SimCity WHDLoad less than 12 months ago (Using WHDLoad 17.x) and I had no problems saving my games.

There are lots of different floppy versions of SimCity, have you tried them all? I'm pretty sure that at least one of them works as it did for me.

Thx, but I don't understand your fix exactly. Mantis just states to run the game natively, not via WHDLoad, which is an option of course. But I think WHDload is a very elegant way to play games.
