Unfortunately no. I don't have time to hunt for the 3DO sources, and I don't have the skills to rewrite the original renderer in assembler. Unless somebody can help me with either of the two, this project remains in the attic of unfinished ports.
On the bright side, I have future plans for the CD32. No more FPS' for the time being, but you will see when I get there.

Sorry to see the project is dead The CD32 definitely should beat smelly Genesis in Wolf 3d

I'm not sure it's quite an even playing field - I don't know the secret behind the Mega Drive Wolf3D port but I suspect it uses graphics chipset functionality that isn't available on the Amiga.

Reverse engineering it may be a useful exercise for figuring out how to make a decent CD32 version, though.

Edit:

For what it's worth I believe the Mega Drive version is doing a raycast for every second line or so, with the blanks in-between filled in to create a dithering effect.. with my own [ Show youtube player ] attempt I found that reducing the horizontal resolution and making it blockier by not raycasting every single line was about the only way I could get anything resembling a playable speed out of it.

It's not really a question of trying to speed up the rendering, a CD32 should have the MIPS to run AmiWolf...the problem is the lack of FASTRAM

Fast RAM expansions are around the corner, with one already in prototype phase!
Don't give up on the CD32

With some FASTRAM it would be easy for someone to port over AmiWolf and just change the input over to use the joypad and the standard C2P ASM to use Akiko enabled C2P

Well maybe BSzili can be tempted, being a CD32 user has never been better than today! Two Fast RAM + IDE expansions on the prowl:

I was thinking that a FastRAM required Wolfenstein 3D wouldn't really be a true CD32 game but.. to be honest, there were a few N64 games that outright required the RAM expansion, so.. why the hell not.

What I'd personally like is a reduced detail or performance mode (copper screen rendering rather than C2P?) for stock CD32s but an option to go full detail for expanded ones. But otherwise.. a complete and FastRAM required Wolfenstein 3D for CD32 would still be awesome

You can add the TF328 to the CD32. Although that may not work for the purists.

For me it's not about purism, but coverage If the majority of CD32 users had fast RAM, I wouldn't think twice about supporting it. It would help the raycaster a lot.

Well they should at least have access soon. My new board will be open source and therefore will ensure everyone can get one at a reasonable price

Or perhaps if there is software that use fast ram people starts to think to upgrade their machines. Its a real madness loop.
