Walkthrough for BBC Micro version of Last Ninja 2?

I'm currently trying to record the BBC Micro version of LN2 but I'm completely stuck on level 5 (Castle).. there is a dark room where I need to turn on the lights but I can't figure out how.. I know how to do this in all the other versions but I can't seem to do it here.

It's very annoying.. I wonder if it's a bug or if there's something I'm missing.

Any help would be great!

EDIT - alternatively, I can send the savestate to anyone who wants to give it a go and see if they can figure it out.
