Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs - Sega Dreamcast!!!

A kickstarter is currently running for 'Saber rider and the Star sheriffs'.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...the-video-game

It's a retro run and gun style game based on an old Japanese anime.

In short, there is a Dreamcast version. If anyone here loves the Dreamcast then please consider pledging. It's also to be released on other retro systems and some modern gaming systems too.

And no I am not affiliated with the campaign, just spreading the word

Let's make a Dreamcast physical release happen. The dreamcast indie retro scene is alive and well with several cool games currently scheduled for release.

Sorry, looks awful. Like a flash game. No need to support everything on Kickstarter.

I don't!! It's still a somewhat early prototype I gather.
I just tend to support the dreamcast scene in general, not every game but most. It keeps the scene alive and some great games get released like Sturmwind, Gunlord and soon ghost blade.

I remember that anime, they show it on italy, and was kinda below average, both as animation and plot; it is interesting to remember that, in the same subject, we also had the american Bravestarr (that had some good characters beside the filmation skin) and - some years later, the excellent Trigun.

now, THAT would be an interesting game, starring Vash the Stampede and the mythical Nicholas Wolfwood carrying its own cross-machine gun! [inspired indeed by Django and its gatling in the coffin i suppose]

Bravestarr I remember, I had the first issue of the comic. It was a short lived series.

Trigun i have never heard of but the original Django is a great film.

indeed, we're in 2015, animations should be very detailled (as much as on neogeo games), but with the 80's touch.

The game looks like an average megadrive game.........

The Mega Drive has Rolling Thunder 2+3. Both looks much better than this.

From what I gather the animations are not final and yes they don't look smooth enough and are probably lacking animation frames.

Fred, my lovely Fop. How's the world? (Sorry for OT)

It's the same development team which collected money for a Saber Rider game some years ago on Pling. And delivered nothing (no surprise that 15000 Euro wasn't enough). Well not sure if they will have success now.

Fascinating, I did not see that coming! Let's see what happen! I'll be watching the campaign more closely now, I'll pull my pledge anyhow if it looks like the campaign is not going to be a success.

Gameplay reminds me of the SunsetRiders arcade - that might be more at hand of anyone with some blitz skills

By the weay i loved the intro of that arcade, when Konami was able to deliver good stuff still, that, Xexex and the more-7 fiesta Golfing Greats were nice games! (and don't forget the hiddem gem a bit unfinished City Bomber)
