Well, it looks like news of your project is slowly spreading around the internet.

It has popped up on...

KOTAKU

An Australian Overclocker's Forum

And a French Gaming Site as well.

The pressure is building Darkfalzx!!

this is just phenomenal. Well done Darkfalzx. Seems the entire gaming world knows about your project now (a friend of mine even facebook shared neil's article to me the other day) and well done to Neil for getting his coverage of it into boingboing, kotaku (au) and the others.

Cheers Ali-b!

Once the next update comes out, expect another great feature with careful mention of heavy traffic which can cause download issues

Okay - a mirror is up. Again - same build, but shouldn't have the dropbox download issues anymore.

Windows build
Ouya console build
General Android build (The touch-screen controls are invisible, and incomplete)
Ubuntu Linux build
Mac build

If someone has a contact at those websites that reported on the game but ran into download issues - let them know.

As my Wifi/USB Keyboard on my HDMI Android dongle didn't work properly, I went out and bought a OUYA Controller specifically for this (managed to snap a new one up for £14 on eBay - bargain!) and it works perfectly with my Android dongle.

Now to sit down and start playing Shadow of the Beast! Keep up the good work!

I have updated PC and Android builds of the game with some minor improvements.
* More compatible format in the PC build. !CompMode.bat file will run the game even on crappiest of PCs.
* Slightly optimized VRAM use
* SOTB3 no longer crashes when the game is paused.
* Added SOTB3 level 3's first major puzzle - the bird cage. The bird familiar is in, but is quite buggy.

In other news - long story short - the game seems to be officially un-publishable. Working on it takes up quite a chunk of my time, however. What do you think - will it be absolutely unacceptable if I set up a donation page for those willing to support the project?

Is it un-publishable because of the amount of time working on the game? Gamers would probably be upset But I could write another article with the latest build and request for donations to further support the project if that's good?

I don't think you should stop working on it though, not now at this early stage... Just don't work on it so often, take a time out and come back to it! Do u have the latest link for the latest builds?

Seems acceptable to me. Nobody is being forced to donate.

It is un-publishable because Sony holds the rights and appear to be un-interested. I fully intend to complete the trilogy. What's more - I intend to make this a "Psygnosis Legacy Pack1", with the next one containing the two Barbarian games and Obliterator.

For those who missed it:

Windows build
Ouya console build
General Android build (The touch-screen controls are invisible, and incomplete)
Ubuntu Linux build
Mac build

If you finish it, I'll donate (ie, pay for it). I'd also pay for more Psygnosis packs - a Lemmings pack for Android would be sublime

Windows Build Is it just me or in the cave when punching enemies they die without your hand even touching the enemy? If i recall this on a real amiga you had to be exact in timing for your hand to touch the enemy for it to die?

Also i launched the Windows Build and it only plays Sotb1, are parts 2 and 3 playable if so how?

At first I were uninterested in this but I downloaded anyway. Looks and plays decent except for the part the protagonist moves far too slowly on a ladder but I don't remember the vanilla all that much so that's a minor issue.

HOWEVER, never name your project SHADOW OF THE BEAST. Just imply that it's a beast remake and you'll be fine. I assure sony will hunt you down if you build this phrase, in that order, as your title and they have every right to do so unfortunately.

Hold on, did you say two Barbarian games? As in including Barbarian II? I've not seen anyone care about that game except myself for the last two decades at least.

Aah yes thanks. Got it. IS it just me or does sotb2 run a little too fast?

Windows version comes up with an xinput1_3.dll not found. Gamepad support disabled error, then froze the computer

!CompMode.bat gives the same error, but game works fine
