It's definitely an Amiga game. I remember playing it on my cousin's Amiga when I was young.

Sorry, it's not Breed 96. You definitely controlled the robot itself rather than driving it around.

Based on your description of plain gfx and keyboard controls I always thought you were referring to a PD game. PD = Public Domain = Not for profit. Most PD games are fairly crap

with bland gfx.

What is the difference?

In Breed 96 you control the robot itself. It has a laser that fires with the spacebar.
