Thanks Thrash911
1. Is one of the things I've been tweaking back and forth the last few years! number 2 shouldn't happen. Does it happen when using cursor keys and z instead of joystick? 3 does annoy me too. Maybe in the future... |

Running the game from floppy or from Workbench on a HD makes no difference (just tried both, in case that could make a difference). |

Anyone completed it yet? I may have wrote it but I still only get as far as I did on the 2600 and Speccy versions of H.E.R.O.!

Thanks for the game Coagulus. I played it for a little while and it looks likes it an addictive game. Took me a while to get used to it and the controls. The learning curve wasn't too hard. It was good to fall down the hole and find I hadn't died but landed on another platform.
The shooting took some getting used too. As the bullet fires then disappears. Walking into invisible spiders is the most annoying for now. :-) I had trouble installing it. I have a fairly standard OS3.9 setup and it doesn't know what a rar is. I had to unpack it on a PC then repack it as a zip file, copy it to PC floppy, then load it in my Amiga. Which is a rather strange way of installing Amiga software. Things were easier before these PCs took over. |

Fun little game as someone who used to play Atari 2600 HERO every now and then, it feels and plays like a faithful port. Well done.

Thanks for the feedback. Hope someone long plays it soon. I'm sure it's finishable but I get about as far as I get in H.E.R.O. I plan to look at the joypad firing thing and also add keyboard entry to the high score table. As soon as I get the time.

How awesome is this???
I just discovered, and downloaded your PC demo of this today, and now there’s a finished Amiga version. It’s like Christmas has come early Thanks for making this, I absolutely love H.E.R.O. |

Bit late to this, obv, but can anyone suggest a reason why it runs abominably in Amiberry with music enabled (it "pulses" between normal speed and horribly slow every second or so). It's absolutely fine with just sound FX. I have fast RAM enabled.

It may be the pt player library I was using at the time. I've been using a different one since so may try and get an updated version done when I can. There's a few bugs and annoyances (not being able to type on high score page etc) that I'd like to get rid of. In the process of moving at the mo so everything is everywhere though.

I had installed this game when it came out, but only today did I give it a go and I really enjoyed it. It should be included in the Hall of Light, it's currently missing.
