There were no PCI bus boards in 1996/7, just expensive zorro cards like the Picasso and Cybervisions, plus the Bvision/Cvision. Siamese added RTG to Amiga's with just an ethernet card and software.
The quoted performance is 500x that of AGA, but I dunno if that is true. Yes it redirects gfx through a LAN, SCSI network or serial. |

The ISA switcher card might not work with 2000/XP but the 2.5 software does. Also, I have not seen any problems with 3.5/3.9. Although, I don't use the RTG functionality much.

Well moust of amiga software is still cormercially availlable somewhere. Check this list http://www.gentle-eye.fi/pelit.html all games are new NOT second hand.
I think that if program is still availlable somewhere its not mean anything ellse that one collector will buy it to his/her collection. Main point is what is abandonware?????? Can or cannot still bought comercially? as I said allmoust every game/app is still comercially availlable somewhere. Who decides what is abandonware, me? you? who? Is it still supported. How new it is. Ifusion is on the Zone and it is still comercially availlable in softhut and it is still supported by maker Last edited by utri007; 17 February 2006 at 09:25. |

I am a realist and I know that isnt always possible. Companies get bought and sold, go into liquidation and finding the copyright holder can be difficult if not impossible. Most Abandonware webmasters take a chance that the copyright holder either:

have asked paul who holds copyright, and if it is him - as opposed to Steve Jones/HiQ - for permission to upload.

@ alewis
What was the result? @ adolescent and alexh Can you tell us how the Siamese works on your system? I mean in terms of software, connections between the Amiga and PC etc. Do you use a SCSI network? I am tempted to try it. I have two SCSI options on the Amiga side (SCSI UW and SCSI II) but only one SCSI option on PC (SCSI II). Any thoughts? |
