I think DocQ used to have / run a ZIV + ZIV PCI set up.

I used to run a ZIV setup (all amigas got dismantled in the move a few years ago) I recently bought a ZIV Pci mediator. so when i get round to it. I will test it. after i rebuild it...

I have a Voodoo 5500 PCI & Sound Blaster Live 1024 & TV Card & network card for it too... Its also gonna be running an A4008 + with 8MB ram SCSI card (18GB U2W ), all this combined with an 060 @ 50/66 with 64MB Ram .

when i find the right chasis it will be built... I want it in a desk top ( finding one big enough is proving difficult )

Yikes. Regards desktop, have a gander at the Compaq Deskpro models (not the pizzabox sized ones). There is a "true" desktop model, circa 1997-2000, and then the "convertible" model, circa 2000+ which could be used a desktop or mini-tower. Not a bad case, pretty standard, and given some dremel work is on the cards, can be modded to suit your needs.

If unsure what a "true desktop" looks like, it has a slightly curved front facia. The other two are unmistakable. Quite a few deskpros on ebay, often very cheap.

Thanks for the info Alewis,

I did measure up some chasis / cases and because of the board riser(s) *first the Z4 and then the Z4PCI it forces the cards up quite high, I believe the dimensions needed are as follows.

X = 45cm (width)
Y = 14cm (height)
Z = 35cm (depth)

all the boxes i have seen on ebay seem slightly short in one or more dimensions.

Its a pitty i binned an old 386 desktop chasis, would of been perfect today

Hmm... Since you live in the UK... if you feel like driving down to Cornwall this weekend you can have a 4U rackmount case... that will fit anything.. lol (Including 4 PCs if they're stacked right... I've had that done.. lol)

another, cheaper, here

Not having one to hand I can't comment on the dimensions though.

Not that I have a "real" Amiga anymore, my A500 died many moons ago but I read the Hardware section anyway...

Hmmm, at my work there's an old Compaq 233 Desktop that hopefully we'll be getting rid of very soon. The only reason why it's still in use is that it has some old school banking software on it which works via modem transfer and the bank still hasn't produced updated software for WinXP or even over the internet. Can you believe this???

Anyway, my point is that if you are interested in this I can make sure that as soon as the bank updates their software I'll grab the Compaq 233 Desktop for you

Thanks Damien,

I would really appreciate that if its no trouble.

lets see, just to make it fruitfull *chuckle* take a tape measure into work tomorrow and size up the X Y and Z, you might want to wear black with a large hat (for that truly undertaker experience) lol

I am sure that if you manange to aquire this chasis, I am sure we could come to an AMIcable trade

Hello Zetr0,

I had the chance today to take a look at the PC and take some measurements for you

The case is pretty scratched though. Here's the details:

Model: DP2000 6266MMX
Width: 45cm
Length: 39cm (not including faceplate)
Height: 12.6cm

Let me know if you need any more information.
