Can I use the ELBOX SPIDER2 USB PCI card on a pc???
As topic says, this will work right? there isn't anything funny about it's "firmware" right?
I just wanna test it to see if it is functional before I go and buy a Poseidon license key... don't have the mediator yet... |

It could be that the PCI ID is changed so that it isn't recognised by the MS USB stack, but yeah you can plug it in.
If you want it to have drivers as well, you need to modify the standard USB inf files with the pci id of your card. |

What I don't understand is why people buy a Spider when a Subway is much cheaper?

So Spider is useable with HighSpeed? Are there any performance benchmarks?

What I have seens so far is that the Spider would be twice as fast as the Subway but slower than an Algor.

spider 1 perhaps, the spider2 is claimed by Elbox to reach USB2 speeds... we'll find soon enough
