EAB/Lemon Super League 2015: Round 12 Game Vote

EAB/Lemon Super League 2015: Round 12 Game Vote (Special round - Games beginning with the letter V)
Starts: 00:01 September 6 Finishes: 23:59 September 19

Rules

Full rules are here.

Vote for five games.

Your first choice gets 5 points, second 4 pts, third 3 pts, fourth 2 pts, fifth 1 pt.

This is the vote for the third special round of the season. eMTe won Round 10 and we will only vote for games beginning with the letter V. The top two games at the end of the voting will be played.

Remember to choose games suitable for competition play. Edited votes will be discounted (unless told otherwise) so think before you post. Please only vote on one board - either EAB or Lemon.

If a game comes in ECS and AGA versions, please state your preference in your vote. In the event the versions differ gameplay-wise, the version with most votes will be played. ECS is the default if you don't specify.

The winner of Round 11 will have their vote doubled for Round 12 (i.e. 1st place = 10 pts, 2nd = 8 pts etc). However, because the voting for the next round ends before the current round ends, players must place their votes and wait for the current round to end to see who will have their vote doubled.

Tactical or nosey voters can see the Lemon voting thread here.

The letter V is an interesting one. There isn't a huge number but I still reckon, at first glance, there's over 20 games we could feasibly play, even taking into account that two of the most notable games have long since been played in the competition. Plus there may very well be suitable PD games not listed in either site's database. Time for a think...

With the exception of Venus, the choice was more one between plague and cholera for me...

And i must oppose eMTes statement, i prefer to play known games, because I know most of the games and have found my favourites, with an occasional exception every year like Locomotion (Kingsoft), which was a positive surprise.

Kingsoft produced a good game? You learn something new every day
I prefer to play games that nobody is familiar with, but I guess that would usually indicate that the game is rubbish lol..

I have to admit that Locomotion isn't bad, but that's probably the one exception proving the rule.

Voting is now over. Although we play two games in the next round, only one gets put in bold as the other spot is still (theoretically) up for grabs...

1. Volfied - 29
2. Vektor Storm - 23
3. Videokid - 20
4. Venus The Flytrap - 17
5. Vroom Data Disk - 15

Total votes: 11 - Total games voted for: 19

Videokid can still take second spot - but Robo-Sparkle needs to be overhauled at Rick Dangerous first...

Lemon seems to be down again, so I ended up coming here. I knew there was something I meant to update last Sunday. <slaps face> Will be good to play Volfied at last - yet another mega game on the Amiga.

It should be a very interesting round. Good to play something a little different. Will definitely be more involved in that one (let's just say I'm not a fan or Mr Richard Dangerous).
