2. Fears (in small window, without floors and ceilings) any more? |

I'm not sure if anyone has got DoomAttack to work in 2MB of RAM yet, but it certainly runs well with 8MB Fast RAM on a CD32 using the Akiko C2P, noticably smoother than my A1200 with 8MB Fast RAM.

Frontier isn't textured though!
And Trick or Treat and Pac-Man 3D aren't CD32 games. |

It just uses smaller polygons on top of larger polygons to give a bit of detail. You could do the same thing yourself with 3D Construction Kit.

No
Different There;'s stuff needed for textures that's pretty slow or impossible on an Amiga (namely the famous chunky to planar conversion) Another game with textures: Mr. Nutz. One of the special levels is a textured tunnel, which I always thought was pretty impressive: |

This is correct. Its cheaper (computationally) to just put a few more polygons on an object as text instead of a large textured image which is very expensive and a lot of hard work for the poor old A500.

Depends on the hardware. For a Playstation, it's easier to push textured polygons than doing 2D the way the Amiga does. Also this thread is about the CD32, which has a special chip for C2P conversion. |

Wing Commander uses sprite scaling, not polygons i'm afraid.
Super stardust tunnels, were they 3D? I know they impressed me! Umm, some 2 player split screen freeware game with 2 wizards with machine guns, they could cast spells at each other too (reverse controls etc). God know's what it was called, but it was loads of fun! |
