Still testing it out...

"Kyra.dat" is missing from this archive though and the one I used in "v1.5.0.004" doesn't work.

Do you have a "Kyra.dat" that works with the version you uploaded?

It's not on Aminet
For future reference, all releases of ScummVM V1.3.1 are available at the URL below. The site is a bit slow, so I'll probably up them to my personal folder on the FTP server.

I am using "magic dosbox" on Android and plays perfectly (commercial app). Perfect application for such games, you can even set keys on screen as buttons etc.
But you need patch 1.23 maybe that's the reason you have problems

No "kyra.dat" inside the "ScummVM_v1.3.1_030_aga.lzx" archive you placed in The Zone!

...but thanks for attaching; will give it a whirl now

Cheers my friend

"Kyra.dat" is in the "ScummVM_AGA_030.lha" & "ScummVM_AGA_040.lha" archives

I'm happy to report that there's no immediate graphics issues (square blocks as reported in post #16) with "ScummVM v1.3.1" and "Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos"

...strange that it's messed up in "ScummVM v1.5.0.004" though.

Think I'll try out the 040 version though as the 030 version is horrendously slow.

Tried the dos version. Seems that without the smooth movement, an A1200 with fastmem and HD should be able to handle it fairly easily. The fact that the dos version requires a 386 probably just means it needs a 32bit CPU. A 68030 certainly seems overkill.

No problem! Anyway, for convenience, I've upped all the more recent versions of ScummVM that I could find for classic Amiga systems (incl. WarpOS ports) to my personal folder on the FTP server.

Ok, been playing around with the files "Dr.Bong" uploaded:

a) ScummVM_AGA_030.lha (Nov 7 2011 13:51:22)
b) ScummVM_AGA_040.lha (Jan 8 2012 21:42:48)

With both of these the "Virgin Interactive Entertainment" & "Westwood Studios" are not displayed when starting the game but no "square blocks" in the game

Took a look again at the file "jeff b00toNic" uploaded:

a) ScummVM_v1.3.1_030_aga.lzx (May 5 2012 18:34:49)

This one works perfectly as far as I can see without playing too much... Would really love the 040 version though...

Where did you find this file jeff?

Ok, all good now

Using the ScummVM archive that Jeff kindly uploaded (May 5 2012 18:34:49), I now have the game working perfectly in WinUAE without glitches (unlike all other ScummVM versions I've tried)

You can even set a 68040 CPU as opposed to a 68030 CPU and still all working...

If people want me to upload the "ScummVM" folder (with "Lands of Lore" setup / included) as an .LHA file then of course I will. It's a case of extract and play

SCUMMVM 1.4 AGA/RTG is the last version without glitches - but below 060 it's quite slow.

For those interested, I've upped a few more versions of ScummVM to my personal folder along with AHI V4.18 and V6.0.

This is now in my personal folder on the FTP server under the filename "ScummVM_V1.3.1.031_AGA_030.lha".

I lost some stuff, including the different revisions of ScummVM by NovaCoder, when the HD on my PC laptop went down a couple of years ago. I can't find any revisions of ScummVM V1.4 that NovaCoder may have upped here or to Aminet.

By any chance, do you have ScummVM V1.4 floating around on your HD? If so, can you upload any and all versions you have to the Zone please?!

Good stuff Prof. Bong

...just make sure that you add the specific "Kyra.dat" file from post #24 as it's not included in this file
