In my collection I also use the same disk 1 & 2 as yourself

Belgo; can you tell me what disk 3 is used for? The original is only 2 disks and it's not like you boot from disk 3 (tried and does nothing).

Sink or Swim - Extra memory make any difference???

Hello guys,

The girlie is out for drinks so have some time to tinker (not that I'm under the thumb or anything)

Ok, so have tested the .IPF files using these configurations:

a) Quickstart A500 1.3 ROM, ECS Agnus, 512 KB Chip RAM + 512 KB Slow RAM
b) Quickstart A500 1.3 ROM, ECS Agnus, 1 MB Chip RAM
c) Quickstart A1200 Basic non-expanded

Absoluelty no difference in graphics or audio

Only thing that is different with extra RAM added is that after the "Odysseus Software" screen, the "Extra Chipmem Found!!!" screen sits there while there is a lot of activity loading sectors from Disk 1. Afterwards you see the insert Disk 2 screen.

Anyway; I personally am going to use this "Sink or Swim (1993)(Zeppelin)[cr QTX][f level 9][t +5 SCX].adf" file in my collection. Up to you Belgo (or anyone else) if you do the same

I am suppose Disk 3 (SCX crack) is not needed, but i might be wrong, cant remember!
SCX crack = 3 Disks
FLT crack = 2 Disks
I think, that SCX did not manage to put their crack on 2 Disks, so additional disk changes are required while playing(like in Wrath of the Demon crack)

I just noticed that the Pirates! release is a bit buggy. Whenever you try to hail for news when a ship is intercepted, you end up in a battle instead.

I have not yet tried other versions. It seems that GB Amiga v1.6 also uses the same ADFs.

Hm I'm using Pirates! v832.02 (1990)(MicroProse)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr QTX][f crack CLS]
So I would have thought that would have worked, it's not actually a game I've played much..Anyone got any suggestions as to a good version?

I did some testing; Pirates! v832.02 (1990)(MicroProse)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr VF] works.

EDIT: uploaded it to the Zone.

In my collection I use the same disk 1 & 3 as yours but this for disk 2 and all is good (no trainer though):

... Deep Core (1993)(I.C.E.)(Disk 2 of 3)[cr CLS].adf [CRC 90594D2C]
Ok; with this set Retroplay uploaded you can't have the following disk combination:

DF0 = Deep Core (1993)(I.C.E.)(Disk 1 of 3)[cr CLS].adf
DF1 = Deep Core (1993)(I.C.E.)(Disk 2 of 3)[cr CLS][t +31 ATX][bootable].adf
DF2 = Deep Core (1993)(I.C.E.)(Disk 3 of 3)[cr CLS].adf

You need to set this:
DF0 = Deep Core (1993)(I.C.E.)(Disk 1 of 3)[cr CLS].adf
DF1 = Deep Core (1993)(I.C.E.)(Disk 3 of 3)[cr CLS].adf

When asked for disk 2 you insert into DF0, the game then gurus, restarts and the trainer loads. Guess this is by design so that you get the chance to use / select trainer options

Deep Core - Bug???

Deep Core; I found a horrible bug in the game no matter what set you use (though it seems worse with the trained disk 2)...

I was trying to work out how to open doors and noticed the arrows so tried <down> then <up> a few times. A jetpack activates, can't seem to get back down and if you shoot, move for a bit the game freezes / locks up.

Took a look in the manual and there's no mention of a jetpack or how to activate / deactivate:

ADF games causes Winuae crash

My First Post.
Firstly I wanted to thank Belgarath for all of your hard work on this, and the rest of the community for all of the valuable information.

I've been on the Amiga seen for a while, but I am stumped on this one.

On Windows 7, using Gamebase Amiga 2.0 and Winuae 3.2.2.0, WHDLoad games will load fine, but loading and ADF will crash Winuae on startup. All Paths are correct. Modifying the GameBase Amiga.uae file USE_GUI=YES revealed the problem. Now launching an ADF will bring up the GUI, but if I go into SETTINGS-HARDWARE-CPU and FPU, there is no CPU selected. If I manually select one, the game will load, leave it blank, and Winaue will crash. As a work around, I modified the GameBase Amiga.uae file CONFIG_HARDWARE=FALSE, and now the games will load, but this will make some ADF's unstable? Does anyone know what the solution may be?

I've tried this on two Windows 7 machines with the same results. Ultimately I'm trying to integrate Gamebase with GameEx, for my livingroom.

Thanks for any help!

Excuse me , where can i find the WHDLoad SkeletonKrew_v2.0_AGA_0725 ?
The Gamebase 2.0 continues to report it missing and i can not obtain it anywhere.

I already have WHDload SkeletonKrew_v1.0_AGA_0725 and SkeletonKrew_v2.0_CD32.

Thank you.

Thanks DamienD!!
I had already seen the pack, unfortunately the file i'm looking for is not present . Also many WHDLoad are to be extracted from their .zip because inserted in .lha format and do not work in gamebase.
I lack only SkeletonKrew_v2.0_AGA_0725 , anyone can link me ?

It's in the Zone. I've converted it with WinRar. Not sure if it works 100%.
