as a recap from an earlier IRC discussion before bipstah made off with all them sausage rolls

Heres the pitch-ish a multi platform DVDrom that has the following features

Working project name: Abime-zine

1. to be able to play in a regular DVD player
This is to have both a navigational structure and media content streaming.

2. an autorun html navigation for PC's
to instantly access the media and content from the disk

(nice if there was an auto run amiga partition)

Content Ideas / Featuretts / Section Ideas
  • Project updates of currently housed Abime.net
    • writeups
    • voice interviews
  • Gamming section including
    • Featured Long plays
    • Games League
      • a lot can go in here
    • Competitions
    • Feature game guide(s) and tips/tricks
  • Tuturial Section ( HTML / Videoplays or Narrations )
    • Hardware projects ( simple to advanced projects )
    • software uses (i.e Imagine tuts / coding etc )
  • Member Submissions
    • member submitted mega game collage (100 titles)
    • best / worst hand draw screen shot.
    • Members Gallery
      • images
      • tutorials
      • audio tracks
      • Demos

theres a lot more, but bippy wrote it down.... i think LOL.. anyway its a really cool project idea and i think this would really complement the EAB

more ideas then peoples

We need contributers and a couple of GFX artists to work on the menu's and look/feel of the whole thing..

Will also need someone to build the HTML/DB side in conjunction with me doing the DVD side of it.

Hey Bippy, I see you posted this on the Lemon Amiga forums, it would be a good idea to post this on other forums as well. Do you want me (if you're not registered) to post a thread on the Retro Gamer forum about this DVD? The more people that are aware of it the better

Yep that is cool

Though you don't need to put my name in, this is a community project

Anyway moving swiftly on.. we need a name

So far suggestions include

DAM (DVD Amiga Mag)
A.D.M (Amiga Dvd Mag)

There are others but let's get this right.. suggest away and i'll do a poll

@bippy i forgot to do the /join bit

Silly me! Anyway i like DAM as a name but would prefer the emphasis on AMIGA rather than DVD!

so for me ADM sounds good with or without full stops
