DF0 + DF1 connection?
Hi all,
I've been running DF0 in my A600 tower from the proper on-board connector and DF1 from the "disk drive" port & using the guts of an external drive case to make it work. The "guts" have needed regular repairs ever since I did this, as the PCB is well and truly rooted, dry solders, lifted tracks, corrosion, etc. It's finally gotten so bad I need to do something else. So here is my SUPER DUPER simple question... How do I connect DF1 "internally"? Do I just set the appropriate jumpers on each drive and connect them in parallel on a ribbon cable like with a PC or is it not that simple? Please excuse my stupidity as usual...me Amiga no good PZ. It is not that simple. You need to get the DS1 line to the internal floppy connector, then you need the circuit from your external drive's controller board to provide for the ID pulse and also motor control.

Ok, thanks for that
Hmm, guess I'll just get another external control board PZ. |
