oh yes. But this is new. Obviously something changed. So it is possible to buy the pure Download again. Its even the same provider "ShareIt".
Maybe Hyperion reached some kind of success in court? |

Thanks krautguy.
That does answer my question, since you have purchased a physical version and no access yet to a digital copy. Though this has only just become available again, as of yesterday, as correctly pointed out. Was hoping you would get an order confirmation email with your serial number attached, but no matter! |

The serial for a physical copy is on the label of the ROM chip. That you can use for a digital download as well. So not in a confirmation mail, only when the ROM arrives in the snail mail.
@krautguy I'm sure Hyperion putting them online again has nothing to do with progress in the legal battle. The trial is only scheduled for end of 2019!!! They may be in talks about a new settlement, but I'm pretty sure if that's the case there won't have been any significant progress yet. The main reason for putting them online again is, my guess, that many stores refuse to sell the physical ROMs, in fear of the no infamous cease and desist orders. And just to keep money flowing in they put the digital version online again. |

WOW! The Amiga parties have just filed a motion for preliminary injunction, including a sh*t-load of supporting exhibits (e.g. Declaration of Bill McEwen). I wondered when they would get tired of cat and mouse games with "Cease and Desist" :

The post above yours is just a list of documents from:
item #45 here The actual content of said documents only appears after someone acquires them, decides which are worthy of reupload, and does so. Such listings often appear here first: https://twitter.com/amigadocuments #6 |

And I who had hoped it would be quiet for a year...
Interesting to see that Cloanto is claimed to own the copyright of AmigaOS 3.1. I have seen it mentioned on discussion forums before, but it is clearly stated in this document (page 3 line 15 and page 11 line 7). |

Really ??? This is why i can't get a copy of this update or whatever you want to call it?
Why the hell this needs to get to court and both hyperion and cloanto don't sit and talk about this... i don't think they are going to have a massive profit with this. I don't understand why this is still under copyrighting law. The amiga still survives mostly due to fans that refuse to let amiga die. I don't see cloanto making much progress with Amiga OS 3.1, for me is a dead system and here comes someone that tries to enhance it and they all start fighting over this. I know everyone can tell that one has copyrights over the system but lets face it, who pays for amiga os 3.1??? come on guys... I understand all this copyright mambo jambo but Cloanto isn't helping the comunity with this behavior, i also think that hyperion should give this for free due to those copyright infringement... anyway i was willing to pay for it so Cloanto move your ass and do something to upgrade Amiga OS 3.1 or try to reach some kind of agreement with hyperion to make this an oficial upgrade and split profits and then everyone is happy including the fans. |

I know it would not happen but the judge should read user's opinion on the net and stop thinking such (speaking about Cloanto) : Quote:

Correct because it's a filing to the court from the Amiga companies + Cloanto against Hyperion, the Judge will then read and take action accordingly, although there may be additional filings between both sides before anything happens, but at a minimum you should get a response from Hyperion before anything happens.

Amiga Inc and Cloanto claims that Cloanto owns 3.1, and Hyperion is only allowed to do 4.x/PPC. Hyperion thinks it can do both 3.1 and 4.x. The real trial is set to December 2019. Hyperion releases 3.1.4 in September 2017 and sales takes off. Amiga Inc tries to stop this by sending cease or desist orders to the resellers. After a short pause sales resumes. Now Cloanto and Amiga go to court for a preliminary injunction, which I think can be seen as a preliminary ruling to prevent certain actions (keep selling 3.1.4 in this case). They have to show several things for that to go through, among others that they are likely to win the case, that they are suffering now and it is in the public interest. January 18 is a date related to this. That there are a lot of talk about how this affects Cloanto now in the document is to motivate that this preliminary injunction is needed. Quote:
Anyone who wants 3.1.4 should order it soon, anyone who want to avoid buying software that potentially is distributed illegally or do not want to feed the lawyers should stay away. |

It's more annoying that 3.1.4 was shipped in a premature state, and now people buy kickstarts ROMs with a version of shell, that doesn't respect failat and with an experimental implementation of pipe handling that has corny side effects.
