Chaos Engine AGA
Works with several WinUAE versions, but I get an annoying horizontal line on every screen in the game. Anbody knows how to get a proper emulation of this game?

Yup, same problem.
I got the ECS version working without problems though. I can probably dig up the proper config if you need it. |

Use WinUAE 0.8.16 R3 and a normal ECS13 config for Chaos Engine 1 ECS.

Could it really be that not a single person on this board has a solution to this problem?
BTTR claims to have a working config listed, but I get the same problem using their suggestions. If a game has gfx errors in emulation they usually list them at BTTR, but in this case there's no info like that. My main purpose of finding a working config is to get proper screenshots from the game. There IS a workaround; when you begin a new game or when your character dies you start off from a certain position on the map. If you don't move your character, the screen looks OK. But, if you walk up or down the screen that ugly horizontal line appears. This means I could get a handful of screens showing every darn starting position in the game. No bad guys, no explosions, no action. That's just not good enough. BTW, my version is the Fairlight crack. Maybe there are other copies out there? |
