Benchmark Code
Does anyone have a good suggestion for source code to test assembling speed? Ideally something simple so that the code will work in any assembler without modifications.

If you talk about cross-plattform assembling be aware that even those simple writings will fail because source and target are swapped in some compilers.

I posted some tests in another thread of yours, done on a 1Mb large disassembly of vasm. You can have that if you want, but doing tests on a single file that large isn't entirely conclusive. You need to look at files of more sensible sizes, f.ex. kilobyte sizes of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 and so on, before you can make a really fair estimate.

Well, I don't plan to use this as any kind of official reference, just to check for my own if there are vast differences. If you can send that to me somehow, would be appreciated.
