whdload GUI
Hi,
is there or will be there a GUI with that I can manage and load the lha files directly, i mean that this GUI unpacks the files and loads the game/app. I think about something running under AmigaOS, maybe like MAME with game infos and shots. Should not be impossible to create, my programming skills are limited to webdesign and some bash skills. So are there people who think this would be great? so long |

Hi,
I've been working on something like this, it's still in alpha status though. It doesnt read the lha files directly (you should have the game already installed), and it's main drawback is that it doesnt read the game's tooltypes (but that should be fixed soon). It can however scan your disks for installed games and create a small DB of them, which then you can use the gui to run. It also has a nice live filter (something like spotlight) to find quickly what you want. Let me know if you'd like me to send you the archive. |

Ok, made some changes (version sent to keropi was bad), it can now read (hopefully) tooltypes. I've put it online, you can get it from here:
http://machina.amigahellas.gr/projects.html (Look for iGame). Thanks! |

do i have to install any MUI tools?
It fails with an error about MUI, right now i cant boot my hardfile. I also now nearly nothing about AmigaOS anymore(sold my a1200 10 years ago), i just installed a WB3.1 on my xbox. |

$^#@$#@%$
It shouldn't need anything special (except of course MUI). What's the error? Keropi, we should meet in the channel and talk about it. Sorry folks, seems it needs some more testing.... ;-) |

can someone take some screenies of what this looks like?
Would be interesting to all of us who don't want to start messing with our setup until we see what it's like |

Hi killergorilla
not much, but check this: http://machina.amigahellas.gr/stuff/igame_main.png In the mean time, I'll do some more testing on other people's machines, right now it works fine on mine, but it seems it is not enough ;-) I'll keep you posted if interested. |

Thanks lostfriend.
Right now it's in it's early stages, keropi has agreed to let me test on his system ;-), but given that the sun is shining very bright here in Crete, I hope to soon find some spare hours to work on it and try to get a stable version out. Last edited by MrZammler; 04 August 2005 at 14:35. |

@lostfriend:
About Wings of fury. It's a known bug ;-) If there is a QUITKEY in the game's tooltype, then it doesn't launch for some reason.... At the moment, the only solution is to put it inside parenthesis. (i.e. disable it). I'm looking into it. |
