Alfred the Chicken: based on NES or GB release?

Currently HOL states in the entry for Alfred the Chicken, in the conversion notes:
"Based on 1994 Mindscape NES release."

However, in an article from the first issue of Amiga Game Zone (1994) that s2325 posted a scan of recently:
http://eab.abime.net/907029-post291.html

it is stated (1st paragraph of the 2nd column) that "the program itself was converted from the Gameboy".

So that is contradictory. Anyone knows more about this?

Perhaps there is a specific chronology: NES version first, ported to the GB then the GB version ported to the Amiga?

Also, the year stated is probably wrong. The HOL entry states Alfred was released in 1993, so unless the NES version was delayed despite being the first one to be coded, it does not really make sense.

Or maybe it was taking into account only the US release of the NES game which was apparently from 1994 (but UK version from 1993):

Maybe. But anyway, it is still worth to verify which piece of information is correct (the person writing the article seems rather knowledgeable so I would not distrust the article a priori).

according to wikipedia the original version is the nintendo done in 1993
the Amiga version also done in 1993 surely is based on the nes version because level design
the other ports comes later and are different, the SNES changed levels and the PSX version is totally different
The best version of this game by far is the CD32 version
