Amiga games with metal'ish/guitar music
I'd like to try out some Amiga games where the music is a little metal like or at least has electrical guitars.
I can't think of many myself at the moment.. I'm sure I've played more than the ones I remember but all I can think of right now are - Supercars 2 (not sure about the first one, been too long since I played it) Lotus 1 (and some tracks in Lotus 3 as well) Jumping Jackson Shadow of the Beast 2 (game over sequence has a nice guitar part) I *know* I've played more games than those with guitar music but my brain is empty |

Ultimate Ride, Fighter Bomber intro, also the Red Sector MegaDemo has some great guitar music in it (I think that's what it was called from memory) and Audio-X by Crusaders has a good version of Smoke on the Water with good guitars if you're interested.

Cool! Thanks for all the replies! I already knew many of them but sometimes it's hard to remember.. however, there are plenty of games in here that I've never played, I'll check them out tonight!

As nobody played it due to it being a pretty dreadful game, nobody probably knows/remembers, but I put a lot of effort into the Last Action Hero music. I even paid one of my mates £50 to come and play guitar. Out of my own appalling wage, no less! That's how stingy Psygnosis was at the time.
Once I'd finished the tunes, I even spent ages prioritising every tracker step and putting the most redundant notes into the fourth channel so that you could barely notice the drop-out when a sound effect was played. And then the game got reviews of anywhere between 3% and 28%, What a waste of time and money that turned out to be. I actually recycled the "new baddie" tune for the original Formula1 on the Playstation. Last edited by FromWithin; 30 June 2008 at 03:34. |
