DIY Amiga DB23 to VGA (15 pin) adaptor

Hi all,

Did this adaptor the other day, works great...Goal was to make a very cheap adaptor, hence the use of a cut down db25, but still with good signal quality, maybe someone else has use for this info so sharing it here, github here:

Great work! How much was the cost when you say 'cheap' since I know AmigaKit sell these for under £10.

Thanks, Don't know exactly about cost, I had most parts at home already, just had to get a new db25 and I was all set.

Don't forget mine here AMI-RGB2VGA

You can experiment different logic gate combos, to find the best one fitting your hardware set (Amiga + Monitor)

Completely free open source of course.

And now you can use normal PAL resolution on VGA or LCD screens with VGA input?? Or is this DBLPAL or EURO36 Screen mode?

It depends upon your monitor, supporting 15KHz scan freqs or not ...

I made one of these last week and used a 74LS14 instead of a 74HCT14. Seems to work but I see some jitter. Not sure how critical the choice of logic family is.
