Reliability problems as in take a 27c256 EPROM, try to burn it in Willem, it will sometimes fail to verify no matter what speed you select in the tool.
Then take a real programmer, such as the Wellon or as I have, a SpeedMaster LV48, insert the exact same EPROM that the Willem was unable to write to, and it is burned correctly on the first try. That is reliability. Quote:

ive had no such reliability problems.(but a have been sent bad parts,which was partly my own fault as i knew they where untested)
i dont mind flicking a few switches and adjusting a few jumpers.(i knew it had them before i bought it) the problem i have with them,is when you buy one i never was sent a manual for all the jumper settings. ok,there are better programmers,but even they have problems. why dont you just put it in the for sale section,if you really dont want it. im not for or against willems,everyone has fallen foul of some form of hardware or other. mine was an osciloscope that wasent callibrated properly,but i wont get into that here. |
