Some news about the Amiwest2010
On the Amiganews website are some news about this years Amiwest show:
This year some well known people in the Amiga scene attended the show: Trevor Dickinson, Hans-Jörg, Thomas Frieden, Ben Hermans, Jens Schönfeld, Carl Sassenrath, Dale Luck and Carl Sassenraths. One of the highlights where a presentation from Trevor Dickinson about the progress of the AmigaOne X1000 project and the presentation by Jens Schoenfeld of his new development for the Amiga 600 and 1200, a accelerator with a 68EC030 CPU. Carl Sassenraths sold some very rare Amiga souvenirs: - Amiga-1000-Prototyp - AA3000-Prototyp - AmigaCD32-Prototyp-Board "Spellbound" with the Debug-Card - Amiga CDTV CR - three new Amiga CDTVs - and a new Amiga CDTV Professional Kit So it looks like as when they had a lot of fun! For more details just visit Amiganews under the follwing link: http://amiganews.de/de/news/AN-2010-10-00047-DE.html There are some videos too. |

I don't think Jens has presented yet, hopefully that is today. I purchased the CDTV-CR and the CD32 "Spellbound" prototype and will share with everyone as much as I can either this evening or throughout next week. I also purchased one of the NOS CDTV's and the NOS CDTV Pro kits.
One cool thing about the CDTV-CR is Carl was able to find both the NTSC and PAL "Video Cards" and the prototype keyboard (Spray painted black!) It also has a photocopied mock-up of the manual and a remote control. It works great too. |

@Zetro,
The shocker for me was nobody bothering to make an offer on the A1000 prototype for over an hour after it was announced as for sale. Several items where not sold at the end of the show Sunday so Carl was kind and gave a lot of it away before leaving. If I had the heart of a killer I would have been wise to make an offer for the whole lot but I didn't want to be "that guy." I still get the sense that having my offers for the spellbound and the CDTV-CR accepted as quickly as they were has a few people a little upset but that was beyond my control. I saw people starting to gravitate toward the table after Carl's speech and new I had to get an offer in or leave disappointed. |

You have to click on the comments... I should clarify that it does not appear that Voxel is the one complaining, aside from claiming that some of these items were promised to him, but the following comment is more what I am referring to.

God, how petty are some folk? Personally I'm happy to see the hardware being loved by an Amiga fan and at the end of the day if it is used as intended, photographed for others to see then that's great! On the other hand can you imagine if Doommaster got hold of the AA3000 it'd be too loved |

There isn't any AMIGA Museum yet in FRANCE...maybe a virtual version . Many have talked about that museum, but nothing really concrete. I think many have tried their luck to have the 'remains' of the AMIGA and few people have managed to have them. Last edited by LTAC; 29 October 2010 at 01:42. |
