Your Directory Opus setup on my new os3.9 install
Bloodwych I really like the functionality of Directory OPUS filemanager in your CWB installs.
Alas there is no (yet) CWB pack for 3.9..... Which files do I need to copy from your CWB pack to my os3.9 install to get the same level of functionality? TIA |

Going from the top of my head, I think Dopus looks in its own drawer first for its configuration files then, if not found, the universal "S" drawer. It's the same for libs and fonts.
So either copy over the entire folder, or if you already have the program installed just the Dopus/s/DirectoryOpus.CFG file. As for all the other files it uses, well there are probably too many to list! You'll need files from the C directory for the UNARC button (like unzip, unrar, lzx, lha, unadf etc) and some buttons load programs in the programs directory. After copying over Dopus, you'll have to look in its configuration screen and see what stuff I've setup and the executables required as I can't remember all the files off hand. You could just copy over the entire C directory and not overwrite anything on your OS3.9 install as a starting point. Last edited by Bloodwych; 22 November 2007 at 22:56. |

Wow that all went pretty smooth.
Copied C across maintaining my original files. Copied DOPUS directory. Made all assigns for the A-Temp, A-Programs folders etc Added KCON KRAW to my User SS Copied KingCon-Handler to Devs. Now all that remains are some Buttons that ask for Scalos ie. Icon Info Any ideas on the SCALOS buttons Bloodwych? |

Glad you got off to a quick start.
You'll have to replace any buttons that use Scalos internal features with new or previous commands. For instance, Icon Info can be changed back to the dopus command "Iconinfo". Edit etc can be changed to your favourite edit program and so on.... In OS 3.9, ViNCEd does similar things to KCON: and KRAW:, so you could replace those output calls with VNC: if you wanted to remove KingCon from your user-startup. |
