H.E.R.O. Amiga Remake
Hi,
somehow I always wanted to some kind of remake of the old H.E.R.O. game that I played over and over again on the old C64, I think there is also a Windows version in the making. For people who dont know it: [ Show youtube player ] Now I would like to ask if some gfx artist would invest some time to create a little tileset for it. Perhaps its not a big deal if we look at the original gfx, only a bit more colorful. :-) It should of course run on a standard amiga so 32 colors should be the maximum for each 'landscape' including the player and those 3-4 enemies. So if somebody is interested, please send me a PM. Greets, Alpha |

Awesome. My remake JetHunt is out for PC (but as it's blitz it no longer seems to like windows 10 boo) and although I've been quiet I'm still trying to finish the AGA version but it's taking so long. :-( Would be great to see a remake for all Amigas. I was playing the speccy version on the train earlier.

What I would start with is a mockup graphics - coloured solid squares as placeholders for tiles and 4-frames animated shape for a hero and after you have the basic mechanics working, then ask for a graphics. You will exactly know what you are looking for then.
Which language, Blitz? |

ASM? So even AGA version could be possible?
Give me a prototype then, I may be interested in some work again. My lazyness should already stop ;-) |

Do You plan to finish game? It will be nice, because Your version is enhanced and looking rather nice. [ Show youtube player ] Edit: Just found topic about JetHunt http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=65595 |

Moin,
i just want to show the approach I did the last week: [ Show youtube player ] (no sounds in the video) The graphics are mostly all ripped at the moment and are just used to give me some testing environment... means, I still dont have an gfx dude to help me. :-( So again, everybody who has some spare time, plz pm. :-) Of course e.g. the water will show some animation, it will all be added if I have a useful tileset to work with. I like the transitions.
So much nicer than a hard cut to the next screen. |

Looks really good. Is the speed a tad slower than the C64 version?
