Could you post some logs? (winuaelog.txt, both working and non-working ones)

here is the d3d one, by "working" you mean you want me to post the log when uae starts in ddraw mode ?

Btw in windowed mode it works, just not in fullscreen (1360x768 on hdtv)

Enable logging (misc panel) first, winuaelog.txt is missing. Does it work in windowed mode if you select exact same windowed mode resolution? Also it works if you select "fullwindow" mode when deskstop is 1360x768?

Just tried again today, and i got the black screen in either fullscreen or windowed mode.
Only way to get an image was again, to switch to ddraw, then back to d3d

Beta 4:

- automatically disable battery backed up clock when input recorder is enabled
- automatic resize didn't set "configuration changed" flag when window size changed, size timeout also changed to 10 frames (was 50)
- 2352 byte sector plain iso images didn't mount (misplaced parenthesis in mode test..)
- exception return address error in non-JIT fastest possible CPU modes (b1)
- increased MIDI sysex buffer size (16000 byte buffer is not large enough, some devices send about 18000 bytes)
- copy also log file (if enabled) when saving input recording
- clipboard sharing can be disabled (config file only)
- joystick/mouse button contact bounce is now off by default (config file only)
- Gayle ID update, 0xD1 (AA), 0xD0 (normal). Real A600/A1200 confirmed (unless there are other revisions)

Drop to WB desktop or harddrives panel? How do you remove it?

OK, since Toni's crystal ball is in ongoing maintenance , mine will have to do teh magic

BB2 = Boing Bag 2. (I too needed a while until I got the idea, since I'd usually use BB for "bootblock" )

*incantatorily lays hands on crystal ball*

Adventurer, my beloveth crystal ball hath just cleareth up itselfe and showeth thence that thou seemest to be using OS 3.5 or 3.9?

Perhaps it is an issue that occurs mainly on OS 3.5 and beyond.

Os 3.1 here, standard A 1200 config, not a d3d or ddraw problem.
Need the exact config ? Will test further asap.

Just wondering what that "not working" is supposed to mean (debugger getting activated does not really mean "not working"..) and when because there is no logs..

@geo
Indeed, it *might* be specific to configurations starting from A1200.
Cosmos too uses a 68020/68881 config (telling from his screenshot), thus an interesting question is, what happens if you use a config WITHOUT the coprocessor and just use a stock 2 MB A1200 configuration for a change?

All these criteria MAY matter; hence it's very useful to break down everything to lesser high-end stuff and probably find the point where the issue suddenly stops showing up.

Lastly, I dare doubt that A500/A600 configuration would be affected by this issue as well.

I don't see anything similar if you don't get any debugger screen. Your log shows that F12 does work, it is not stuck anywhere or "doesn't work at all". (My crystall ball now says that B3 does the same on your system)

Beta4: Apart from the annoying debugger screen opening twice before booting (highend config), something seems to have upset some whd slaves and causes them to give out error "Destroyed register SR while returning from function 'resload_FlushCache'."

All is fine in 2.3.0. Error seems to have originated in 2.3.1 Beta1

ok sorry. I make to many assumptions that you have random whds to test

Im using latest whd beta "WHDLoad 17.0 [build 4878]". ive just done around of whd slave udates so first noticed this error with battlechess, fateofatlantis but older ones such as creature / cruise for a corpse error too.

Config is highend 060/jit/rtg/128mb ram.
