Winuae and Widescreen

Hello all, I'm sorta new here (Well, first post, because I've found most awnsers with a search.) This one I couldn't find, though.. I just went from a 17" CRT Monitor to a LCD 19" WS monitor with a native resolution of 1440x900, whenever I start Winuae, everything is streched out. It's not really a big deal, I can live with it, but if theres a way to set winuae so it looks a little more square.... I'd appreciate any help, thank you.

If you activate DirectX or OpenGL filter you can change aspect ratio (scale X and Y visualy)
I already asked for an aspect ratio option... maybe for the next version

Thank you, that fixed it. Didn't think of the filter option, was looking around the display area, and couldn't find anything.

Is the streching done by the monitor or by the graphics card ? If the gfx card does it, the driver should have an option to keep the aspect when stretching 4:3 modes. My laptop has such an option and it works just fine.

WinUAE doesn t manage very well 16/9 resolution.
Fr exemple Mame has a very handy Aspect ratio option so you can fix your screen aspect ratio even in low resolution like 800*600
In my case I have to reach resolution like 1920*1200 to get a good one in WinUAE

Done by the Gfx card, it's an ATI Radeon X1600 PRO, the closest to keep aspect is "Use Centered Timings" and it doesn't work real well. So I'll just have to stick with the filter for now.
