Jim Sachs has been in touch about the DOFC episode, first of all to say he watched the full episode and that the history section was wrong. He sent this through which will come up in next weeks show:
RJ Mical was not the game designer, he was the programmer. Kelly Beck was the game designer, and did zero coding. The music was written by Jim Cuomo, not Bill Williams. I did 90% of the graphics -- I just hired all those other artists to do some brainstorming and initial art ideas. None of these people had ANYTHING to do with Defender II. That was entirely a one-man production. I did all the design, art, programming, and music. A lot of the time I'm using sources online as well as magazine articles so not always possible to confirm details (I have tried with a couple of games but a lot of times I just don't hear anything back). More surprised than anything that he watched! |

Whenever anyone mentions the Amiga they seem to bring up Shadow of the Beast in hushed whispers. Don't think I've covered a show with so much awe and wonder for the way it looks, as for the rest...

I will drop in a mention when I cover Goal. Though might be some time as I've done SWOS recently and Football Glory so giving the footie games a rest for a bit. Last edited by Lorfarius; 12 September 2018 at 11:40. |

Edit: I have corrected (sorted) the normal Goal! lineups, I have corrected the tactics so that players keep their positions and there is a data disk included with more realistic lineups. There is also a corrected German language file. Last edited by Zak; 12 September 2018 at 18:10. |

In an unprecedented move we take an even deeper dive into the Beast series trilogy. But can Reflections improve upon the first?
https://amigarama.com/episodes/amiga...-the-beast-ii/ Shifting gears a bit this week but I'm now going to be posting next weeks show a whole 7 days early for Patreon supporters. A few have been with the show long enough that I think it's a well earned reward so if you'd like to see the adventure continue before everyone else just wander over to the Patreon page |

I've really enjoyed the Shadow of the Beast 1 and 2 episodes.
Your reaction to Beast 2 was the same as mine when I first loaded it up. Gone are the beautiful backgrounds of the first game, and instead you've got silhouettes. While the game still looks polished it's a massive step-down from the first game. The difficulty is also insane. I struggle to get down the first bit of rope without losing all my energy. Even with the "TEN PINTS" cheat the game is still rock solid. I'm looking forward to your thoughts on part 3. It's definitely the most playable of the trilogy. |

And here it is! Part 3 and what is finally the end of the Beast trilogy. Usually I wouldn't have done something like this but there really is a huge difference between each of the games that it has been great going through them:
