for garycd32 and pinballs requested....

Hi!
I'm new here!
I tried to contact garycd32, but I didn't succeed....
Maybe here it works!
I "updated" his CD32-200 to a "CD32-350"...
All games work on an unexpanded CD32 (only joypad)...
If I would get response, I could send it to him, so he can spread it....
I'm still looking for "Pinball Dreams CDTV" and "Pinball Prelude CD32"
so I can include these, too... (there are so few pinballs for the cd32...)
bye

Hi!
As the original 200 games don't all work with an unexpanded CD32 there are
more than 150 new ones...
I threw some out, so it'll be a joypad-cd....
I don't have internet at home, and I'm in an internetcafe....
So it's not so easy to list the new ones (but they rock!)

Hello Frostwork, I'm glad to see you here because that "other" forum sucks big time! I'm interested in changes you've made. I had trouble trying to find 200 *decent* games that worked in the first place and some of them probably weren't worth the effort.

I'm in Australia so it may cost you less if you could send it to someone closer to (or in) Germany who has a FTP site from where it can be accessed or spread to other FTPs and so on. I am interested in adding screenshots/etc to the menu for the extra games to 'polish' it up a little if necessary before it is officially released.

Are there any members from Germany who are willing to get this onto a FTP for a future public release? I don't have a FTP/web site myself. The closest thing I can use for distribution is a P2P service.

Frostwork, you can send me a Private Message if you want.

Its not emu-uk. It was an old and lame CDTV/CD32 forum which should have been put out of its misery a long time ago.

re: games list
Hmmm it appears you have been able to get several games to work on a standard CD32 which I could not after trying many different versions of each. I'm very curious to see how/why. Have they been tested on a real CD32 (not emulation)?

What's up with Emu-UK? (or total-emu as they are now)
My account seems to be crippled - can't post, can't send/receive PM's, can't do much of anything really...

Edit: Apparently I didn't reply to the activation email - oops!
(Thanks Ian for fixing it!)

Ah...you happen to mean that "forum" with that ages-old script (comparable to UAE Discussion Board) where bobbi and others announced the state of their FTPs, by chance?

most of them, that's kinda...good most of the time

I've been playing around with a cd32 image as well.. and I had the same problem with games not working for some reason.
A lot of whd games using "kick emu" will run into memory problems. Lack of memory combined with osemu and kickstartimage (I think) will either never finish booting or boot slow as heck. This unfortunatley goes for a lot of new whdload slaves :/ Some games that should work fine (works emulated).. but just give me a black screen, no errors to report. Then there's the problem of running 3+ floppys games, out of memory errors on most of them (again with the combination of kickemu). And worst of all that JST:S hdload/lowmem crash on most of the games.

What I don't get is that gary has got a lot of games running fine with novbr move.. and from checking the manual it should be enabled. But when I try it most of them never goes beyond the bootscreen and gives me som sort of error with hex nr and wrong image.. no using novbrmove they boot just fine.
This could be related to using a newer whdload otoh.
There are a lot of "new" whd games out that works since garys 200 release though (elf weee ..and the JST patch that enables shadow of the beast 3 to run inventory on controlpad is just sweet.

Hi!

Yes, most "kickemu"-games don't seem to work!
Some games just only need a crack, as password-protection is entered via
keyboard (f.e. CapitalPunishment - I own the original 3 times, but useless without a crack on the cd32).
The Valhalla-series is working starting in the 2nd world, as there's no
password for the 1st... But they are not playable, as every sample
is loaded new during game....
I've tried Mac2Joy (aminet), which can map keyboard to joypad, but
I was not able to launch it on the cd32....
SOTB3-JST rocks!
SOTB2 should have a CUSTOM option for "ten pints" as I think it's too hard
without cheat....
There are several games which WANT to have the cd32.tm, but don't like
the cdtv.tm....
Still fighting with Flashback, I want to have it running ....
Altogether there should be more WHDLOAD-slaves which support joypad-buttons....
(Bad thing that JaguarXJ220 wants to have keyboard pressed at the beginning)
Is it possible that Streetfighter2-Turbo doesn't work?
Well that's it for now!

Streetfighter 2 turbo works some times, but not all.. I think some levels run out of memory, while others load fine.
Even if you can get flashback to run ("dos" crack), its useless since you need F1 to get inventory and select keycard. And the continue/game over requires F1 as well

Hi, spiff!

Yes, but the whdload slave supports 2-button-joystick...
Maybe that works ?

The support is that you can draw your gun with the second button, not get into inventory.
